A short daily list beats a long one, because a long one stops getting read. This is three small sections rather than twenty tasks — tick them here, or keep the list in MyCheck so it comes back tomorrow.

Write down the one thing that has to happen today
Check the calendar for anything that needs preparing
Deal with anything time-sensitive before it becomes urgent

During the day

Work the one thing first, before the inbox
Clear messages in one pass rather than all day
Move anything you did not start to a real day, not "soon"

Evening

Tick off what actually got done
Pick tomorrow’s one thing while today is still fresh
Put anything you are waiting on somewhere you will see it
